	Paxton is a 5 year old male, neutered, Maltese. Paxton came to the rescue by owner relinquish due to his owner no longer being able to care for him. Paxton is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for him now.
	*********** SPECIAL NEEDS Please help - DONATIONS NEEDED FOR ZIGGY TO HAVE SURGERY! ****** Ziggy is a 1.5 year old black/white Shih Tzu. Ziggy came to the rescue due to his owner not being able to care for him. After a couple of days with Ziggy, we realized there was something wrong with him and we found out that Ziggy has a portal liver shunt and if it is not taken care of - Ziggy's life span could be dramatically shortened. Although this sort of medical problem isn't a common ailment - it does occur and we have had one other dog in the past 8 years that we were able to save with this sort of medical problem, which can be corrected - by surgery. The surgery is approximately $1,200.00 and worth every penny to save this guy and give him a good healthy life. We are reaching out to all of our supporters and the guardian angels that help these furbabies when they are in great need of donations to cover medical costs. When a lot of people donate even small amounts, it can all add up to the necessary amount to help Ziggy. Every little bit helps. Update: 6/16/08 - No donations yet - Ziggy is in need of surgery - he needs your help! 7/18/08 - $300.00 donated - $225.00 will go toward the ultrasound that Ziggy needs as part of the medical workup. PHOTOS NOT YET AVAILABLE	Suzie is a 5 year old, female, spayed Shih Tzu. Suzie came to the rescue as an owner relinquish due to her elderly owner not being able to care for her any longer. Suzie is very sweet. She is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for her now.
PHOTOS NOT YET AVAILABLE	Eddie is approximtely 6 years old male, neutered blk/wht Shih Tzu that came to the rescue from the shelter. Eddie came to us with poo stuck to his behine, lacerations on his body and has had to spend the last week at the vet to recover from his wounds. Eddie will recover but we would certainly like to find a very loving home for this little guy as no furbaby should have to go through such treatment. We are accepting applications for Eddie now.
	Watson is a 4 year old male, grey/white, neutered Shih Tzu. Watson is a terrific little guy. Watson has seizures and is currently on medication. Watson would love to have a forever loving home that will care for him and provide him with the medicine that he needs to control his seizures. Watson is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for him now.
	This is Nelson! He is a 6 year old, neutered male. His owner passed away after a long illness. He was neglected because of this. He came to us anxious and fearful, and seemingly unpotty trained. In a few months he is trained with a doggy door and much calmer. Nelson is still recovering from his ordeal but everyday he gets happier and sweeter. He will do best in a calm home without small children. (He seems to do okay with adult dogs.) He is extremely sweet and loves lots of hugs and attention. He loves to cuddle and follow you around the house 'helping' with chores. Stuffed animals and chewys are his favorites. When he is playful and happy he makes a sweet mewing noise. Nelson is very loyal and looks forward to finding a new owner to love. He is also up to date on all shots. Nelson is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for him now.
	Danny Boy is a 16 month old, tan and white, male, neutered Shih Tzu. He came to the rescue by owner relinquish. He was a little nervous the first few days he was with the rescue, but is becoming more relazed now. Danny Boy is sweet and has plenty of energy. He gets along with older children and other dogs. He likes to play with his human friends or on his own with stuffed toys and balls. Once he gets started playing he really has a lot of fun. He finds comfort by being with you and sitting on your lap. Danny Boy wants to be helpful around the house by helping with the cleaning by chasing the broom, mop or dust cloth. Danny Boy is learning to use a doggy door. He is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for him now.
	Pongo is an 11 year old male, neutered blk/wht Shih Tzu.
ADOPTED!	Arthur is a 9 year old, male, neutered, blk/wht Shih Tzu. Arthur came to the rescue from the shelter due to his owners having 3 dogs and only wanting 2. Arthur is a very sweet guy, is happy-go-lucky, likes to play with other dogs, go for car rides, and loves to be cuddled. Arthur would love for someone to be as loyal of a companion to him as he had been to his previous owners. It is so terribly sad to see this sort of thing happen needlessly to a terrific little dog due to the careless treatment by humans thinking that these living creatures that depend on us for survival can be thrown away or abandoned at any time. Arthur is ready and waiting for a forever home. We are accepting applications for him now.
	Baxter is a 9 year old male black/white Shih Tzu who came to the rescue by an owner that had to go into assisted living and could not longer care for him. He is very sweet and would do well in a home without other dogs and loves older children. Baxter likes to go for car rides, loves his squeaky toys and to snuggle with his human companion, likes to go for walks, is laid back, housebroken, and he loves to eat carrots. Baxter is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for him now.
	Guy is a 5 year old male, white/gold, soon to be neutered Shih Tzu. Guy came to the rescue from the shelter as a stray. He is friendly, sweet, likes to go for car rides, and likes other small dogs. Guy will be ready for adoption soon and we ar accepting applications for him now.
Lilly Maguire Maguire and Lilly	Mcguire is a 10 year old male Yorkie and his buddy, Lilly is an 8 year old female Maltese came to the rescue by owner relinquish because their owner could no longer care for them. They are both very friendly, cute, and loving little dogs. Mcguire is approximately 4.5 lbs.
	Nita is a 5 - 6 years old, female, black/white, and spayed. Nita came to the rescue by some people that found Nita as a stray and could not find her owner. Nita likes to go for car rides and loves to site on the back of the couch and watch outside during the day. Nita is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for her now.
	Pint enjoys playing with other dogs and likes a lot of attention. He does not like to be alone for long periods of time. He is house trained and crate trained. He must be crated when you leave the house or if he is alone, because he tends to get bored and chew things. At night he sleeps out of the crate in my room with me. Pint is 3 years old, has energy to burn and for the most part he does not bark unless an unknown person comes to the door or he is startled. He does not like thunder he runs and hides. He eats Nutro lamb and rice twice a day a.m. and p.m. about 1 cup per feeding ( he likes the 'small bites' but will eat the big bites). He tends to graze all day if allowed. Pint is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for him now.
	Champ is a 11 year old male, grey/white, neutered Shih Tzu. He came to the rescue by owner relinquish due to his owner moving and not wanting to take Champ with her. He loves to sit in your lap and be petted. He is a sweet guy, quiet, and needs a lifetime owner that will be his best friend forever. Champ is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for him now.
ADOPTED!	Waltzen is a 10 month old, male, neutered, grey/white Shih Tzu. Owner relinquished as Waltzen was too active and playful for his much older playmate. He is very sweet, is blind in one eye, and will need eye drops for his other eye due to dry eye for the rest of his life. He will need an owner that will put this in his eye every day for him. He loves to play with other small and nice dogs. He is active and energetic and would love to have another nice little playmate. Waltzen is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for him now.
ADOPTED!	Charlie is an 8 month old male, neutered grey/white Shih Tzu. Charlie is friendly, playful, energetic, and loves to play fetch. He is curious and alert. He has a terrific personality that just makes you giggle. Charlie likes other small dogs and likes to play with other small dogs, and likes to be the dominant playmate, so Charlie would do great with another small dog that doesn't care about that sort of thing. Charlie uses a doggie door and is ready for adoption. We are accepting applications for him now.
ADOPTED!	Rosa is an 8 year old, female, spayed, black/white Shih Tzu. Rosa is very sweet, loving, friendly, and calm. She would love to have a forever home with an owner that will spend time with her. Rosa loves to site on your lap and look at you with those big brown eyes. She likes other small dogs as long as they don't surprise her when she is sleeping. Rose rides will in a car and uses a doggy door. Rosa is ready for adoption and we are acception applications for her now.
ADOPTED!	Gizmo is approximately 3 to 4 years old. He is full of energy, loves to drag around his toy and play with balls. He likes other small dogs, is friendly, loveable, and loves to sleep with his foster mom. Gizmo is ready for adoption and we are accepting applciations for his now.
Punkin Skipper	This is Punkin and Skipper. Punkin is a 5 year old, female, gold/white Shih Tzu and Skipper is 1 year old respectively mix. They are very sweet and loveable little dogs. They love to cuddle, and sit in your lap or next to you, love to go for walks, and have their tummies rubbed. Why am I called Skipper?? (I’m the little black and white boy.) You should see me when we go on walks! I skip with my back feet!! I really make my foster family crack up. I’ve even heard the words “Funniest Home Videos,” but I don’t know what that means…. I really want to please you and I’m a curious little guy. I know you could teach me lots. My best friend, Punkin, has a small problem, so I take good care of her. She went to the eye doctor and he said she is blind in her left eye from some kind of injury. She’s still a very pretty girl, and she hasn’t let her sight slow her down one bit. She also lets you know exactly what she wants-she throws her head back and let’s out a yowl that will make you giggle, but you will definitely pay attention! We do need to be adopted together because we love each other so much. We realize that asking folks to take both of us together may be a bit daunting, but we promise you’ll be glad you did. That way, when you are gone from home, we won’t be lonely! We’re truly two in a million! Oh ya, one more thing. If you have heavy hands or you yell a lot, that will NEVER work with us. We would like someone who is gentle, patient, and kind. Our foster family doesn’t know how we do with kids, cats, or other animals because they don’t have any around. 	Jack is a 5 year old male, neutered black/white Shih Tzu mix that came to the rescue from the shelter as a stray and was very thin. We are working on Jack's weight gain. He is friendly, likes to cuddle, and likes other small dogs that don't have alpha personalities. Jack would do best in a home with all adults or with older teenage children. Jack is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for him now.
	Gordo is a 4 year old Male gold/white Shih Tzu who came to the rescue from the shelter as a stray. We believe that Gordo has been mistreated. He is a very cute little guy that is friendly, loving, and needs an owner that will spend time with him and help him to learn to trust again. Comments from his foster mom is that Gordo is doing better, has gained some weight, sits to receive his meals and treats. Gordo would do best in a home without other dogs as he is particular as to who he will be friends with. Gordo is uncomfortable with new stimulus, such as someone new to him in the house and if his toys are missing. Gordo is housetrained. He loves to sit in your lap and play with his chew toy. He is a charming, bouncy, loving little boy and is gentle when taking food, treat, or a toy that is offered to him. Gordo would do really well with an owner that could provide Gordo with a stable, consistent, loving, caring, and responsible adult home. Gordo is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for him now.
ADOPTED!	Shelly is an 8 year old female, wht/gold, spayed Shih Tzu. Shelly came to the rescue from the shelter as a stray. She has a heart mumer and needed her teeth cleaned, which has been done. Shelly is what you would call "the perfect dog". She is very sweet, housetrained, loving, friendly, and ready for adoption. Shelly will need an owner that will help her gain some weight and provide her with a healthy lifestyle. We are accepting applications for her now.
	Boogie is a 10 year old, neutered, male, Maltese who does not like cigars, but I know he is George Burns. Everything about him is subtle, funny, and gentle. He is energetic, healthy, friendly, loves to go for car rides, wals, and laps. He needs a forever home with an owner that will love him and care for him all the rest of his natural life. Boogie is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for him now.

Mighty Joe is very sweet, friendly, playful and is ready for adoption. We are accepting applications for him now. Maggie is a 7 year old female, spayed, gold/white Lhasa Apso. Maggie came to the rescue the same way Joe above did. Maggie will require eye drops everyday for her dry eyes. Maggie and Joe need to be adopted together. Maggie is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for her now. Both Maggie and Mighty Joe are currently in a training program with their foster mom.
	Sadie is a 9 year old, female, spayed, black/white Shih Tzu. Sadie was owner relinquished to the rescue. She is quiet, loving, and pleasant little dog to have around. Sadie recently had bladder stone surgery, is doing well and recovering nicely. Sadie is ready for adoption and we are accepting applications for her now.
